What Is My Child Learning?
Finding what will be taught in kindergarten through twelfth grade in our public schools shouldn’t be hard, yet it is. Parents should have quick and easy access to what their children are learning each day and what they should master at the end of each year. Since neither the school system or the state doesn’t make it easy, I thought I would help.
Wake County School System follows the North Carolina Course of Study which are the state standards set by the state of North Carolina. While schools vary on focus areas (language immersion, STEM, IB, Academically Gifted, etc..), programs to support instruction, methods of instructional delivery, character education programs, etc.. they all follow the same curriculum.
