There are 191 public schools in Wake County. There are 76 private schools and 26 charter schools. So where are all these schools located? Below is a custom map I created that shows all the elementary, middle, and high schools in Wake County. If you don’t want to drive far to your child’s school or if transportation is an issue, you need to see ALL of the schools in your area.

The map below is divided into elementary, middle, and high school but is also categorized by type of school:

• base schools (blue)

• private schools (burgundy)

• charter schools (orange)

• magnet schools (purple)

To view all Wake County public schools (Base, Capped, Magnet, and Year-Round) click on the separate map below the main one. There are 20 capped elementary schools, 2 capped middle schools, and 3 capped high schools. There are 37 year-round elementary schools and 10 year-round middle schools.

Tip: Click the arrow box located left of the Wake County Schools title to choose which schools to show on the map. If there is a certain level or type of school you do not want to see, unclick the box.
